Growing Up Children’s Clinic · Last updated 24 September 2026
We look after children, so we take care with their information. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Growing Up Children’s Clinic, Thadagam Main Rd, Kovil Medu Bus Stop, Edayarpalayam, Velandipalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641025. We are the ones who decide why and how your child’s information is used. You can reach us at info@thegrowingupclinic.com.
What we collect
Usually from you, when you book or visit:
- Your child’s name, gender and date of birth, and the town or district you live in.
- The parent or guardian’s name, relation to the child, phone number and, if you give it, email.
- Health information from visits: complaints, weight, height and other measurements, diagnosis, prescriptions, vaccinations, follow-up dates, and any photos or documents you or we attach to the record, such as a prescription.
- For pharmacy: what medicine was given and when.
- When you book online: the doctor, date, time and reason you choose, and the time you agreed to this notice.
Why we use it
- To give your child medical care and keep an accurate health record.
- To book, change and remind you about appointments, and to tell you about follow-ups.
- To run the clinic’s pharmacy and keep the records the law requires.
We use your child’s information only for their care and the running of the clinic. We do not sell it, we do not show adverts, and we do not track children’s behaviour.
WhatsApp messages
When you book or register, we may send messages to the guardian’s phone number on WhatsApp: a welcome, an appointment confirmation, a reminder the day before, and a follow-up reminder. They are about your child’s care, not advertising. If you do not want them, tell us at the email above and we will stop.
Who helps us handle it
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Frappe Cloud (ERPNext): stores the clinic’s patient records. Our records are hosted in Mumbai, India.
- Vercel: runs this website and the clinic’s app.
- Meta (WhatsApp): delivers the messages above; it sees the phone number and the message.
- Google Workspace: the clinic’s email.
We do not share your child’s information with anyone else, except where the law requires it, or in a medical emergency to protect a life.
How we keep it safe
- Only clinic staff with a personal login can see patient records, and each can see only what their role allows.
- Connections are encrypted, and files attached to records are private.
- We keep backups so records are not lost, and we can end a login from any device at once.
- If something goes wrong with your child’s information, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep medical records for as long as needed to care for your child and as long as medical record-keeping rules require. After that we delete or anonymise them. If someone books online but never visits, we do not keep their details longer than needed to arrange the appointment.
Your rights
As a parent or guardian, you can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about your child, and who it has been shared with;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete information we no longer need. Some medical records we must keep by law, and we will explain if so;
- stop the WhatsApp messages;
- name someone who can act for you if you cannot.
Email info@thegrowingupclinic.com with your child’s name and the phone number used at the clinic, so we can find the record. We will reply promptly, and in any case within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Clinic staff’s login uses one cookie that is needed to keep them signed in.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will update the date above. The booking form asks you to agree to the current version each time you book.
